
Our Presence
SIMN connects over 700 Scalabrinian priests and religious scattered in nearly 30 countries in the five continents. This work and mission is shared by several hundred volunteers. SIMN brings together more than 270 organizations involved in a variety of activities for people on the move throughout the world.

Our Activity
The SIMN promotes:
- Research, study, documentation, scientific and journalistic information on the human mobility and training of academic and field professionals;
- Lobbying and advocacy in favor of people on the move at national and international level;
- Support of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working in the field of human mobility under the guidance of Scalabrinian lay people and volunteers;
- Sensitization of public opinion using Scalabrinian media;
- Coordination of pastoral and socio-cultural services offered through migrants service centers, welcome and assistance centers, houses for the elders, orphanages, clinics, crèches, schools, vocational centers, missions, apostleship of the sea and parishes;
- Solidarity with people and organizations committed against every form of racism and/or discrimination;
- Defense of all human rights
